Amy Says…
If you are a longtime subscriber - you might notice that the newsletter has a whole new look and feel. Of course, if you’re new… well it’s a little bit like when a teacher begins a class by telling the students not to be late. The folks who are late aren’t even there to hear it.
In any event, I decided to make the jump from one email provider to another. This is never a super easy process. Step one: obsess about all the choices. Step 2: make 5 billion decisions. Step 3: hold your breath while you update your DNS zones. 😄
You might be thinking…who cares?
It’s a fair question.
Here's what it means for you: Instead of being just an email, this is now an email and an archive you can browse anytime. The format is easier to read with a table of contents and better mobile performance. I've added sections for community events, a community spotlight, and a feedback loop—this week I'm collecting what might be making you mad (that's at the end).
As for why I did this? The way we consume streaming media and connect online is changing quickly, and I wanted to be on a platform that can grow with this community. Plus, I finally aligned the newsletter with the brand name.
TLDR: Easier to read, easier to engage with the community, easier to share.
Enjoy the three articles inside. - Amy

That’s me… I’m Amy.

Visibility | Sensitive and Seen
Some people think conquering visibility fear means forcing yourself into the spotlight until the terror fades. But what if the real solution isn't about being braver, but instead it’s about feeling safer? Lyn Delmastro-Thomson spent decades hiding in plain sight after childhood bullying taught her that speaking up meant pain. She'd sweat through networking events, panic at the thought of 30-second introductions, and filter herself so completely that potential clients couldn't even see what she really did. The typical advice to "just keep posting, keep recording, it'll get easier" only made things worse, turning visibility work into self-torture. Until one day at a women’s conference everything shifted.

🥰 Community Spotlight
Thank you IsthmusChristmas for these kind words about the show. We think you’re pretty great too!
I love the podcast because Amy is authentic (and fun!) and she asks wonderful questions. Listening to her guests is inspiring and helps me to remember that we are all human and part of this messy and wonderful journey called life.

Career | Saying Yes to Discomfort and New Beginnings

Gwendolyn Dolske
At 41 years old Gwendoyn Dolkske found herself, “comfortable but craving more.” So, she flipped her own script. She didn’t swap her career. She decided to launch a podcast (Good Is In The Details) where she traded being the expert-in-the-room for the vulnerability of being a beginner, openly nerding out about philosophy for anyone who cared to listen. Along the way, she redefined “getting out of your comfort zone,” tackled technology anxiety (relatable, anyone?), and I should mention that she got a surprise second act as a mom.
Special offer from Gwendolyn for you:
Gwendolyn hosts her own podcast called Good Is In The Details where she offers education, insight, and laughter. Find the details at GoodIsInTheDetails.com

I want this email community to be a safe spot to complain: Is something bugging you? About anything. Anything at all. Hit reply and let us know what’s on your mind. What am I going to do with this information. I’m going to read it. Maybe I’ll share some of it back out with the community next week. We’ll see.
