Amy Says…
Hello {{first_name}} , Have you ever made the mistake thinking that you can just paint one wall in a room only to find out that as soon as the paint is dry you realize you need to pain the whole room and then end up painting the whole house.

Is it just me?

This week peaking behind the curtain in my office: one of the production tools I use has stopped working. It actually happened last week. This is turning into a chance for me to update and hopefully improve everything. I’m trying to stay optimistic and cheerful about learning new tools.

This week on the show, I featured two powerful conversations exploring transformation and self-acceptance. In my chat with Sabrina Harrison, we dove into the journey of reclaiming confidence and self-love through the vulnerable experience of a boudoir photo session—highlighting how stepping in front of the camera had a profound impact on not just her personal life, but the direction of her business. In the other conversation, Brittany Cano shared her story of transition from ICU nurse during the pandemic to holistic wellness coach, detailing how attending to her own burnout and unprocessed grief was the catalyst for creating a more balanced and purpose-filled life. Both episodes remind us how moments of courage and self-reflection can lead to lasting change.

The security guard who worked at the jail arrived at the ICU sick with COVID-19. For two to three weeks, Brittany Cano watched this lovely woman fight for her life without family visitors, growing more frightened each day. Eventually, she had to be placed on life support. In those early pandemic months, most patients who reached that point didn't survive.

If you're someone who powered through a high-stress situation only to realize afterward that you can't go back to the way things were, this conversation explores what happens when survival mode ends and the real reckoning begins. It examines the tension between professional identity and personal wellbeing, and what it takes to walk away from a career you've invested years building when your body and mind are telling you something has to change.

Sometimes the gifts we give to others end up being the most transformative presents we receive ourselves. Photographer Sabrina Harrison discovered this truth when she decided to book a boudoir photography session as a 40th birthday present for her husband. What began as a thoughtful gesture became a catalyst for profound personal change and ultimately reshaped her entire professional practice.
