Amy Says…
Hello {{first_name}} ,
I was walking through the produce section when the announcement said, be sure to pick up a Sumo Clementine. I thought to myself … that doesn’t sound like a real thing. But they happened to be directly in front of me so I picked one up and brought it home. When I shared it with my family they thought I made up the name. My husband said, “are you making a joke, I don’t get the joke.” I said, “no, that’s really what it’s called.” He didn’t beleive me until I showed him that is what it says on the sticker. It turns out that it’s super easy to peal and really delicious. Two thumbs up. If you see them at your store give them a try.

One Sumo Clementine, please.
I also had to restock my olive oil and I went ahead and bought the brand that I see all over tiktok. See…I’ve been influenced. Then I did a taste test for myself which was silly because I don’t really know what I’m doing. I think that I prefer salted butter on bread. If I’m going to use olive oil I like to add finishing salt and maybe other yummy stuff. But I forgot this during the taste test because I was trying to be “official.”

Influencer olive oil on the left…and other olive oil on the right. I can’t tell the difference in taste. But the Graza bottle is super convenient for cooking.
This week there are 3 episodes of the podcast or if you prefer reading 3 articles. One is me. I released a solo episode for the 200th episode of the podcast. That feels like a big deal. Seriously, feel free to reply with kind words about this achievement. I love compliments.
Also, I have the pleasure of sharing conversations with Toni Will and Darlene Lekowski with you this week. Enjoy and be sure to check out the offers from the guests.

Brain | A Journey Through Burnout Recovery

Eight hundred hours.
That is how much time Toni Will estimates she reclaimed in a single year once she stopped drinking. That time had been spent thinking about alcohol, consuming it, and recovering from it. She did not wait for a dramatic rock bottom moment. She did not lose her job or her family. She simply listened to a voice that had been getting louder for nearly a decade, and she decided to do the uncomfortable thing. For anyone who has ever wondered whether their relationship with alcohol needs to change but has not quite hit a wall dramatic enough to feel like a reason, Will's story offers a different kind of permission.

Family | Sibling Sexual Abuse and the Power of Sharing Truth
There is a version of a successful life that can be built entirely around a secret. A competitive sales career. A packed social calendar. Children who are protected within an inch of their lives. A life shaped by a drive towards perfectionism so thorough that nothing gets dropped, nothing goes wrong, and nothing gets in. For decades, Darlene Lekowski lived that version. She was, by almost any external measure, thriving. What she did not know until she was 58 years old is that everything she had built was a survival mechanism. Every habit, every defense, every drive to win. And it was killing her.
Lekowski is the author of Shattering: A Story of Survival, Justice and the Power of Telling the Truth, a memoir about the sibling sexual abuse she experienced from ages 7 to 12.
